Visitors Centre

Learn about the history of the brewery and the Batemans family, as well as the brewing process…

Our Visitors Centre really is the jewel in the Brewery’s crown; a place where we celebrate the past and present of Batemans and welcome guests from near and far. We’ve updated the Visitors Centre offer for 2020 to ensure it remains one of the top attractions for families looking for a day out in Skegness and Lincolnshire.

Our Centre is housed in our beautiful 18th century windmill and is one of Lincolnshire’s most picturesque tourist attractions. Beer lovers, curious tourists and businesses alike come for our warm welcome and the promise of a day of ‘fun and froth’.

Best Brewery Tour in the UK?
We’ve developed a new (and already highly acclaimed) brewery tour for 2020. You can now book online to enjoy a fun and informative visit with one of our enigmatic guides; touring our traditional and modern brewhouses.

Our tour guides are knowledgeable and amusing, making the tour interesting, entertaining and fun (not just for beer lovers) and will raise a smile all-round. Visitors will learn about the brewing process and enjoy lots of hands on experiences. The best part is that the whole thing culminates in one of our legendary tutored tastings, where you pull yourself a beer (or two) from the brass beer engine pumps.

Fun for all the family
There is also a lovely beer garden which overlooks the brewery paddock and River Steeping. This year, as well as the new tours, visitors will be treated to free treasure hunts for the children, traditional pub games and an enticing calendar of events throughout the season, the highlight of which is our railway themed ELR50 exhibition from the end of July through to October.

We also have a brewery shop where you can while away a few minutes and take away a memento of your visit.

Functions, Celebrations and Conferences
Our unique setting makes us an ideal venue for your private function. From birthday parties and weddings to corporate events, our functions team will make your occasion an experience to remember. You can even include a brewery tour as part of your day or evening with us.
