Batemans Brewery Visitors Centre Fully reopens on 3rd April
Our winter break is nearly over and, on Friday April 3rd, The Batemans Visitors Centre will re-open to the public for the new season. We’ve been extremely busy over the last few months and are really looking forward to welcoming guests and visitors, old and new, as spring blooms. You’ll notice a few new faces and you’ll have a host of new experiences to enjoy, as well as plenty that’s comfortable and familiar.
Here are the details…
Batemans Visitors Centre Opening Hours
Mr George’s Bar and the Visitors Centre Shop will be open every day from 3rd April until 4th October between 11.00am and 4.00pm. Amongst a host of improvements made over the winter, there’s a new treasure trail for the children, we’ve expanded our selection of indoor and outdoor games, and we’re now dog friendly (to friendly dogs) too.
Other items you might like to know about include…
Great Batemans Beers
All your favourite Batemans beers will be on the bar and our ‘always available’ Classics are now joined by Dark Fruits Porter which will be a permanent fixture this year. The Classics will be supported by our monthly selection of seasonal Legends, kicking off with St George’s Glory for April.
The Best Brewery Tour…in the world?!
Our brewery tour has been completely overhauled and we’ll be running two tours each and every day, at 11.30am & 2.00pm. The new tours have actually been running on Saturday’s since January and have been universally acclaimed, with nearly 100% of visitors rating the experience at 5*.
This seems a good time to tell you about our new online booking facility. Such was the demand for brewery tour places over winter that we’ve added online booking to the website. You can book brewery tours now and in the near future you’ll also be able to book tickets for Batemans Visitor Centre events.
Excellent bar food
Our Visitors Centre food offer is now based on a locally sourced, top quality selection of artisan bar food. We’ve partnered with Surpies Pies, from just up the track in Heckington, to offer a small but perfectly sourced menu to complement our traditionally brewed award winning ales.
If you’re after a Sunday Carvery, or great pub food in the evenings, we have partnered with local Batemans pubs in Wainfleet and Croft who offer traditional (and rather excellent) pub food menus as well as all your favourite Batemans beers.
We’ve got a number of events planned most of which are back by popular demand, plus a new railway exhibition in August and September. The current calendar for 2020 includes;
- Poacher Line Music Train Events
26th March, 25th June, 17th September, 19th October and 17th December
- Wall of Death – 25th and 26th July
- ELR 50 exhibition – 1st August to 4th October
- Bands on the Bank – 22nd August
- Bonfire & Fireworks Night – 5th November
- Christmas Market – 21st and 22nd November
To get the very latest details as event news is published, and to go into our monthly draw to win a crate of Batemans beer, make sure you sign up for our news and offers.
