Our training courses
We aim to add value for our Profit Partnership business owners and our Free Trade customers wherever we can. From the agreements we strike, to our annual programme of trade social events we’re always looking for ways to make doing businesses with Batemans both profitable and a pleasure.
As part of Batemans commitment to our trade customers, every year we run a number of Professional Development courses for publicans & licensees. Courses and dates for this year have just been published so we thought we’d highlight a few, so you can get booking.
The courses for 2020 are…
Running a pub successfully
A course for existing licensees who are looking to develop their skills or refresh their knowledge. Also suitable for new licensees or people looking to run a pub. This is a comprehensive course with modules on; finance, stock control, employment law, business management, customer service, energy conservation, licensing, catering, food allergens, social media, drugs awareness and wine.
This course will run five times this year, with the first being held on 27th and 28th January at the Batemans Training Centre.
BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH)
A course for anyone with an existing licenced qualification who’s looking to enhance their understanding of and responsibilities under the current licensing laws.
This course will also run five times this year, with the first being held on the 29th January at the Batemans Training Centre.
Batemans Cellar Management Quality Counts
A course for anyone who’s looking to understand how to maintain beer quality through better cellar management. There is also a cellar Health and Safety module.
This course will run five times this year, with the first being held on the 30th January at the Batemans Training Centre.
CIEH Level 2 Foundation Food Safety in Catering
A course for anyone who’s working in a food business. An interesting day with a focus on kitchen & food prep H&S.

Batemans Training Centre
The Batemans Training Centre has been approved by the British Institute of Innkeepers (BII) and its awarding body (BIIAB). Our course programmes focus on personal and professional development but are also designed to help maximise profits and foster job satisfaction.
