New Cask Options Make Stocking Dark Fruits Porter An Easy Choice For Christmas

Following a sharp rise in demand, after Dark Fruits Porter scooped a CAMRA Gold earlier this year, we’ll be complementing our standard 9-gallon Cask option and making the beer available in 4.5-gallon Pins and, for those with the appropriate equipment, as 30L Key Casks.

The Christmas stocking options for trade customers are now…

• 9-gallon for larger venues and where the beer is established
• 4.5-gallon Pins for venues that want to try the beer
• 30L Key Cask for smaller venues (with the appropriate equipment)

CAMRA award drove decision
Stuart Bateman explained why he took the decision to expand the Dark Fruits Porter options: “We obviously want to make it as easy as possible for  customers to benefit from the Dark Fruits Porter success story. By offering the beer in three cask sizes, more licensees will be able to give the beer space alongside our seasonal blockbuster Rosey Nosey.”

‘Dark Fruits Porter performs very well in summer, but its spicy finish means that Christmas offers an ideal opportunity to match it up with Rosey Nosey. The beers complement each other really well and the extra size options offer a low risk way of increasing seasonal range.

A Taste of Two Seasons
Dark Fruits Porter is a creamy delight combining a nutty, spicy finish with seriously fruity flavours, thanks to the fact that we add puréed blackberries and blackcurrants at the conditioning stage of each brew. The fruit sweetness lends itself to warmer months and the spicy finish makes it an ideal partner for roast meats when the weather gets cooler.
