Available for a limited time is our fantastic 2014 Vintage Ale. Brewed from an old family barley wine recipe, this bottle comes in a presentation box and is the ideal gift for someone who is enthusiastic about great craft beer.
Tasting Notes
A special limited-edition beer based on a 40-year-old barley wine we discovered in the Brewery cellars. The bottles – which were actually the last ever batch of Batemans BBB – had been ‘laid down’ in the late 1970s by George Bateman, to be enjoyed in April 1981 to celebrate Stuart Bateman’s 21st birthday. But they were forgotten about!
The recipe is a blend of malts from Flagon and Tipple barleys and single variety Worcester Golding hops. Having matured in oak, the beer tastes of plums, port, malt, brandy, vanilla and almonds. An ale to be celebrated.
Orders placed before 11am either Tuesday or Thursday, can be collected the same day between 1pm – 3pm (Tuesdays & Thursdays only).
Orders placed after 11am on Tuesday or Thursday will be available for collection the next day we are open between the same time 1pm – 3pm (Tuesdays & Thursdays only).
