Darts night hits the target
Pub teams give pros a run for their money
Batemans recently hosted the much-anticipated (and very competitive!) darts night. The evening, attended by free trade customers and members of Batemans staff, provided the opportunity for guests to show off their darts skills against one of the game’s great players – Tony O’Shea. A champion in the field, Tony -aka ‘the Silverback’- pitted his skills against a number of pub throwers and came up against some impressive competition. Also attending was the current Lincolnshire U13 Champion, Leighton Bennett. Unperturbed by the talent beside them, seven of the home team beat the champions in thrilling games that had the audience captivated.
Iain Town, Free Trade Area Sales Manager commented: “All of the events that we hold over the course of the year for our customers are, first and foremost, a way of saying thank you for their continued custom. The darts night in particular is one of the best nights that we put on. It really is like bringing the Ally Pally/Lakeside World Championship Darts experience to Wainfleet!”
Held at the Visitors Centre, Iain added: “Events like this give our customers a real taste of who Batemans are and what we do – it’s a Batemans Brewery immersive experience, with the chance to not only sample our brews and meet the wider Batemans team, but also to network with like-minded people in their field by sharing ideas and challenges. By taking the time to better understand their business in a more informal way, it also allows us to tailor our approach to their needs.”
