New Head Brewer

We would like to introduce our new Head Brewer, Buster Grant.

Buster brings a wealth of experience, working at the likes of Cold Label Brewery in Bridgend and has previously held three other Head Brewer positions. Buster is also a past Chairman of SIBA, (Society of Independent Brewers Association).

As well as his down to earth passion for beer, brewing and breweries and his hands on approach, Buster has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and also trained at the top brewing university in the country, Heriot-Watt.

Buster had this to say:

It is a huge pleasure to have moved to Wainfleet and taken over as Head Brewer at Batemans. Bateman’s standing in the UK brewing industry is an enviable one and the Head Brewer’s job is perhaps better described as a custodian’s role. I’m well aware my tenure here would be very short indeed if I proposed changes to XB!

Seriously, it is a great time to have joined – not only is there an excellent, experienced team within the brew-house, but also with the 150th Anniversary looming next year there’s a real opportunity to emphasise both the heritage and the innovation of the Brewery.

I am very conscious of the heritage and history of Batemans and I look forward to becoming a part of this, especially with the exciting opportunities next year offers.

I look forward to meeting as many of you, our customers, as possible and I’m always happy to hear from you.

Cheers!
