Cranwell Centenary Beer
We are very proud to have been selected by College Hall Officers Mess at RAF Cranwell, the Officer Training College, to provide a special bottled beer, to celebrate the centenary anniversary of College Hall Officers Mess.
The beer, named ‘College 100’, is a Pale Ale and it’s been used in a specially designed gift pack with two bottles and a limited edition glass. It will also be sold in the Officers Mess bar and will be available to guests at dining events such as RAF Cranwell’s Founders Day celebrations.
The gift packs and bottled beer has been specially created to celebrate the centenary anniversary of the College Hall Officers Mess, known to the many officers who have passed through Cranwell as CHOM, which takes place in February 2020.
The initiative was headed up by Captain Katie Miller from Cranwell and John Sharpe from Batemans Brewery who, during his time in the RAF, was stationed for a period at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.
John said “this is a very proud moment, not only for Batemans Brewery but also for myself. Cranwell is an extremely important institution for the RAF and I know that they have been extremely pleased with the gift packs which we have produced, which contain two bottles of limited edition College 100 beer and a limited edition glass.”
A share of the funds raised from the sale of the gift packs and the bottled beers will be donated to the RAF Benevolent fund. If you’d like to get hold of either the bottled beer or the gift packs, please contact the Officers Mess direct or the team at Batemans.
