Tenanted Code of Practice (1-499  Tied Pubs)

We fully comply and support the Industry Tenanted Code of Practice (1-499 Tied Pubs) as recognised by the BBPA, FLVA and the BII.

Please see below for the industry statement; do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Key new commitments made by the BBPA and its pub company members, including Batemans, are as follows:

· A strengthened Code of Practice, following a review, undertaken with the BII and FLVA and involving other stakeholders.
· An arbitration service, the Pub Independent Conciliation and Arbitration Service (PICAS) for disputes other than rent, with the ability to provide compensation, to which all tenants and lessees could appeal. Its establishment is funded by BBPA members, and it compliments the existing low-cost PIRRS arbitration scheme which relates only to rents.
· An enhanced provision of independent expert business advice and setting the highest standards of training.

These additional measures renew the sectors' commitment to meaningful reform and are the result of constructive dialogue between the BPPA, the Department of Buiness Engery and Industrial Stratergy, industry partners and campaign groups”.
